Photograph the card.

You'll be in WhatsApp or their inbox in under a minute.

Check it, then send.

Fix anything the scan got wrong — this is the last stop before they hear from you.

Your follow-up

WhatsApp opens with this ready to send. Nothing goes out until you tap send yourself.

Your card.

The details

Only what you fill in goes into the code. Leaving out the office number and the website keeps the code coarser — fewer, bigger squares scan faster and from further away, which matters across a table.

Your WeChat / WeCom code

Neither app will take a message from someone you have not added. This puts your own code on the review screen, so the person whose card you just scanned can add you before they walk off.

Screenshot your own code and crop it to the square. A whole phone screen works, but the code ends up small on someone else’s camera.

Unlock the follow-up.

Scanning and saving stay free forever. This is for the part that writes the follow-up — on WhatsApp and by email.

My profile.

Who you are, what you sell, and the card you hand over.

Send an invite

Send them this link. When they scan their first card, you get 10 more AI scans — and so do they.

My own business card

Out of cards, or left the box at the hotel? Keep your own card in here and hand it over as a code the other phone reads straight into its contacts. No app at their end, no signal at either.

Reading your own card off a photo uses the same reader as anyone else's, so it costs one scan. Typing it in costs nothing and takes about a minute.

My details

The country code is used when a card prints a local number with no prefix.
Used to judge how warm a lead is. Leave it empty and the app judges the conversation on its own.
This line goes into every draft — it is what tells the writer what you actually sell. The closing ask is written for you, and it is the main thing the three tones below change.

On Ask me each time every Open email offers the four choices. Pick one here, or tick the box in that sheet, and it stops asking — quicker at a stand. If a choice ever opens nothing, AIPIA Connect says so and offers the others rather than losing your draft.

Set this up once, on good wifi, before the show.

Help & support

Stuck on something? Message us on WhatsApp. A person reads every conversation, and you can send a screenshot if it is easier to show than to describe.

Updates from AIPIA

Event Passes, show dates and new features — a handful of messages a year, never a lead of yours and never anything automated.

Location / event

—

Messages only name a place while an event is running. Otherwise they just say it was good to meet — never a guessed venue.

Upcoming events

Offline engine

Download this now, on good wifi. If the hall wifi dies, the app falls back to reading cards on the phone itself — no signal needed. Every competing scanner stops working at this point.

Message template

Used for the drafts when the card is read on the phone rather than by the AI, and only on the Warm tone — Brief and Direct are different messages, not this one reworded, so choosing them puts your template aside. Write your closing ask into it; on an AI scan the model proposes the next step itself. Placeholders: {firstname} {name} {company} {title} {me} {mycompany} {offer} and {met} — which becomes “we spoke at <event> just now” during an event, and “good to meet you just now” when there isn’t one.

Data

Everything lives in this browser on this phone. Nothing is sent anywhere except the card image, and only on an AI scan — it goes to AIPIA’s reader to be read, and is not stored there. Clearing your browser data wipes your leads, so export before you do.

On your phone

Add AIPIA Connect to your home screen and it behaves like any other app — its own icon, full screen, no address bar, and it opens with no signal. A bookmark does none of that, which is why one is easy to lose.

Version

—

An app added to your home screen keeps the page it already had when you reopen it, so a new version can sit on the server unnoticed. This asks.
